Referral terms

1. Share your link (seeded.tech/join/your-code) or add ?ref=your-code to any of our links.
2. When someone opens it, we remember your code in their browser for 30 days. If they open someone else's link later, the latest link counts.
3. They become your referral when they finish signing up on the website within that time.

A referral doesn't count if it's your own account, if your account is suspended, or if your friend has already earned on Seeded (for example, through Discord before signing up). Each person can be referred once.

If you change your code, the old link stops working.

Referral rewards are worked out only from your friend's counted clips. A clip counts once it's approved, it has locked (see how views are counted), and it's still up 14 days after it was posted. A clip that's taken down or made private stops counting. "Counted views" and "counted earnings" mean the views and earnings of counted clips.

Nothing before 100K. Your share starts once your friend's counted clips pass 100K views in total. At that point it covers all their counted earnings in the 6-month window, including what they earned before reaching 100K.

Your friend doesn't get a bonus for signing up through your link. Friends referred before October 8, 2026 keep the bonus they signed up with.

Sometimes we run boosts with a higher rate or cap, or a bonus for the friend, for a limited time. The terms in force when your friend signs up stay with that referral.

We bring every referral up to date daily, as your friend's clips become counted. Rewards join your balance and are paid with your clip earnings, under the payout rules.

Your share follows your friend's counted earnings. If one of their clips stops counting, for example because it was taken down, the share on it comes back off your balance.

Referrals made under the earlier program moved to these terms on October 8, 2026. Whatever the old terms had already paid you for a friend stays yours: your share from that friend never drops below it. The old 5- and 10-friend bonuses were replaced by the view milestones above.

We may hold a referral for review if it looks like the same person is on both sides. A held referral earns nothing until our team approves it. If it's approved, what was held is paid. If it's rejected, its share and milestones are taken back. We'll tell you the outcome.

• referring yourself, accounts you control, or made-up people;
• buying search or social ads on "Seeded" or similar words, or making accounts, domains or handles that look like ours;
• spamming links in comments, DMs, servers or groups that don't allow it;
• promising earnings, or saying anything misleading about Seeded, to get sign-ups;
• any trick to collect a reward without a real friend clipping, including inflating a friend's views.

If we find any of these, we can reject the referrals involved and take back their rewards, and the Clipper terms apply to your account. Rewards from other, honest referrals aren't affected.

On Refer, you see each friend's display name, when they joined, their counted views, your share from them so far, their next milestone and when their window ends. That shows roughly what they've earned. Your link's page and its preview image show your first name, so your friend sees who invited them. We don't show either of you anything else about the other.

We may change or end the program. We'll announce changes on Refer before they apply, and rewards already paid stay paid, unless the referral is rejected or a clip stops counting as described above.

Rewards are income for tax purposes. They're included in your yearly statement and any tax forms we send.
